The Group

Rederiaktiebolaget Eckerö was founded on March 2, 1961 and is the parent company of the Eckerö Group, which consists of three business areas.

The Eckerö Group consists of three business segments. The Group operates passenger and car ferry services between Sweden, Åland, Finland, and Estonia. The fleet comprises a total of four vessels, of which the ship operating the Grisslehamn–Eckerö route is registered in Sweden, while the remaining three are registered in Finland.

Today, the Eckerö Group employs approximately 860 people. In 2025, annual revenue amounted to approximately EUR 235 million, and the Group transported about 3.2 million passengers and approximately 210,000 freight units on its own routes.
